Autumn is not that bad, with IJbok.

The days are getting wetter and shorter again, in other words: Summer is on its way and autumn is stormy. A snot nose, rain on the bike and delay due to tree leaves on the rails; all inconveniences that come with autumn. But the wet season is not all doom and gloom, because autumn is also the season of bokbier! And as we have been doing since 1986, at Brouwerij ‘t IJ we just ring in the autumn again this year with our IJbok.

As in all previous years, we have changed very little in the recipe, so expect a strongly malted beer with caramel accents that is less sweet than you may be used to from a bok beer. The hints of chocolate, dark fruit and coffee combined with the reddish-brown color make the IJbok a beer that is inextricably linked to autumn. IJbok is of course available on tap in our tasting room and in cafes. You can find it in the bottle at the better liquor stores and supermarkets.
