A few months ago, one of the brewers of the fine Thornbridge Brewery came to Amsterdam to brew one of our limited edition beers with us. We were really pleased with the idea of this collaboration but the result was even better. The American Wheat Ale was everything you would hope an American take on a Hefeweizen to be. It was as soft and fresh as the ideal wheat beer, with a mild hoppy bite to make it even more interesting.
At Thornbridge, they liked it just as much as we did and they invited us to come play at their side of the Canal. We decided not to change a winning formula and stuck to the recipe we followed during our first session in Amsterdam. As a result, it tastes very good again.
