They days become wetter and shorter, this means the summer is on it’s end and autumn makes a stormy entrance. A flu, getting soaked on the bike and delayed trains due to leaves on the track; all inconveniences that come along with autumn. But this wet season isn’t all bad, autumn is also the season of bokbeer! And like we do since 1986, we announce the start of autumn with our IJbok.
The recipe is the same as the past years, so expect a strong malted beer with hints of caramel; IJbok is less sweet than you might be used of bokbeer. The subtle hints of chocolate, dark fruits and coffee combined with it’s dark red color make IJbok a beer which is inseparable from autumn.
You can order IJbok of course in our pub and other pubs around town. If you prefer IJbok from a bottle, just visit a better liquor- or grocery store.
Autumn isn’t all bad, with IJbok.
