We are very pleased to announce that two of the nicest pubs in the Jordaan now serve our beer from tap.
Café ‘t Smalle is typical old Dutch café (no music) located right across Anne Franks.
Café Thijssen is a much bigger bar where you can have applepie and broodjes during the daytime.
At night Thijssen becomes very lively. ‘t Smalle will be serving our Zatte. Thijssen will change from Columbus to Paasij at the end of Febuary.

Well known (beer)café is now also serving Columbus, from Tap. Hesp’s got a magnificent terras alongside the Amstel and is always a crowded and fun spot, to have a beer.

The Brewery now also has tables and benches on the front-side!
Beware, when who have your beer on this new terrace, that we have to leave enough space for pedestrians. Also, the Stadsdeel-Centrum will punish us severely if people stand on this terrace (or in the street and on the waterside!)

Today is the official launch of the new Brouwerij ‘t IJ website! We have worked hard to make the site easier to use and more informative. Take your time, scroll though the different sections. We have been ‘asked’ by the City Council to keep our patrons from bringing their beer along the river. The sidewalk, across the road from Brouwerij ‘t IJ is not a part of our terrace. Drinking on the sidewalk is strictly forbidden!
We understand that everyone wants to sit alongside the river and have a drink, but we have been warned by the Stadsdeel-Centrum that the brewery will be fined or worse if people continue to drink by the water. Please enjoy our beer on the Brouwerij ‘t IJ premises! We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
